YOUNGSTERS at a town nursery school ended their term in style with a mock graduation to prepare them for life at the big school.
Children from Clever Clogs Nursery, in Throston Grange Lane, Hartlepool, were treated to a party to mark the end of their time in pre-school education.
After weeks of end-of-term bashes for older students across town with prom nights and partying, these youngsters showed they didn’t want to be left out!
The seven nursery leavers – Jazmyn Williamson, Dylan I’Anson, Grace Gill, Scarlette Sherwood, Eleanor Bramfitt, Taylor Hughes and Alex Bramfitt – had the mortar boards and gowns dusted down so they could strut their stuff on their final day at nursery school.
Amy Hanley, senior practitioner at the nursery, said: “We held a similar party last year, and I think it will become an annual event.
“A lot of the children are leaving now who have been with us since they were babies and they’ll be starting at the big school in September.
“We all talked about what they had done in nursery, and it was an enjoyable day for all of us.
“Starting school in September is a big step and we hope they all go on and do very well for themselves in the future.”
