A NIGHT with the Stars, hosted by students of The Northern School of Music, Church Square, Hartlepool was held in the Corporation Club, Whitby Street, in order to raise funds for the NSPCC.
We saw amazing talent, enthusiasm and energy.
The performers were aged from four years up to adults and all are associated with the music school, either having music lessons or attending the performing art classes.
Toni Parker-Harvey, 24, singing and performing arts teacher with the school, said: “Everyone involved has chosen and worked on their performances themselves.
“The idea of the night was that everyone could perform whatever they wanted, so everyone has played to their strengths, preparing their own acts.
“They have all put in a great deal of hard work in preparation for the night.”
Toni may be well qualified with a masters degree, but her ability to develop skills, talent and confidence in her students has to be seen to be appreciated.
She is enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated.
No wonder her classes have become so popular – even the building has had to be altered to accommodate the increasing numbers of students.
Does this not show how lucky we are in Hartlepool to have such a fine establishment as The Northern School of Music, run by such talented teachers?
A huge thank you from the NSPCC.
As a result of Toni’s efforts £1,179 will be used locally to continue the work of the NSPCC.
