Humans first

Have your say

I would like to apologise to the young woman driver on the Coast Road/Verner Road corner for the dreadful shock she received recently.

I was told a very large herring gull collided with the windscreen of her car.

The gull could not get enough height and speed to avoid contact with the traffic after it tried to find something to eat on the ground.

Due to this incident I have had the error of my ways pointed out to me by the residents.

I will stop feeding the needy, including (as reported) any rats in that area.

Although it grieves me very much, I must put human beings first.

Thank goodness there was not a child running onto the Coast Road.

B Wilkins,

Sheriff Street,

Hartlepool.
