Letter of the week: I am entitled to a good whinge over recycling charges and dog bans

Our writer is unhappy about dog bans and recycling charges.
Our writer is unhappy about dog bans and recycling charges.

It’s started already.

Within a week of recycling charges coming into force, half a dozen worn tyres have been dumped at North Gare car park.

Considerate fly tippers, they left their discarded junk next to a waste bin.

Eventually Hartlepool Borough Council will send out a vehicle to pick up these recyclables, at more expense, and drop them at Burn Road.

Did the powers-that-be not anticipate this situation would arise because everybody else did.

As I have reached my three score years and 10, I feel I am entitled to a good whinge.

Someone has decided to put up Dog Exclusion Area signs in areas where dogs are not excluded – Newburn Bridge and North Gare car park areas for instance.

People don’t always read the small print.

Rant over, I feel better now.

Enjoy the beach, responsible dog walkers.
