SO there we have it, straight from the horse’s mouth, if Labour win the general election next May, Wynyard hospital would be top of the health secretary’s list of priorities – for reasons best known to the Labour party.

This from Andy Burnham, who will be health secretary if Labour wins

All of this, with the backing of our MP, Iain Wright, despite him being fully aware of the strength of feeling regarding the closure of our own hospital by his constituents as well as the surrounding area

Now that an election is imminent, he has promised to fight to have our services restored – he has twice before promised to save it.

And this, when Labour plans to close it in favour of Wynyard, with even more services transferred to the University Hospital of North Tees.

Is this so that developers can build hundreds of houses on our hospital site?

Iain Wright regaining his seat is another step closer to Labour winning May’s election.

Vote Labour and say goodbye to our hospital for definite – welcome to Wynyard hospital.

Ian Holliday,

Heronspool Close,

Hartlepool.
