Shake up the whole system

When Brexit is finally concluded, the “enemies within” – the people who by fair means or foul have put obstacles in the way of democratic negotiations from day one – should be named and shamed.

They should be ousted from whichever official position they hold.

They are the rich and powerful untouchables.

Similarly the House of Lords.

Saturated with unelected ermine-clad people, most of whom have only dubious achievements in their lives but, nevertheless, are entitled to the generous allowances and perks – they are an unnecessary financial drain on taxpayers.

It is time that the Lords be culled drastically or discarded altogether.

In fact, the whole parliamentary system needs a massive shake-up.

A clear-out of ineffectual quangos, overpaid lawyers, pen-pushing time-wasters and anti-British lay-abouts who are blocking the democratic process.

For the long term, suitable replacements can easily be recruited from self-made entrepreneurs, leaders of industry, and down to earth no-nonsense politicians (forget the Eton boys) who have dedicated their working lives to British recovery.

The bemoaners seem to be quite content to be governed, bullied and fleeced annually by an unelected assembly of foreigners residing in Brussels, who have over the decades shown little or no interest in the British people, their way of life or future prosperity.
