Sound still cuts it today

It was great to see a picture of DisGuise (Mail, November 7).

It was one of my favourite local bands in the late 1970s.

I saw them play at many local venues, including the Carlton Club, the Gemini and the Longscar Hall.

A few of us bought their single, Hey Baby, and I’ve heard you can still get it on Ace Records.

The band wrote their own songs with a punk/pop/new wave sound that I think still cuts it today.

The singer was Jimmy McKenna, and the amazing guitarist was Peter Scott.

Some of their songs can be heard and there are video clips of them online.
