We are seeking your support to raise funds for the nation’s leading armed forces charity, The Royal British Legion, and its 2015 Poppy Appeal.

Each year the nation expresses its unequivocal support for the RBL’s work through the Poppy Appeal.

The appeal is the Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign. The 2015 appeal will be launched nationally on October 21.

It makes it possible for the Legion to help armed forces families, with £1.7m every week in direct welfare support.

That’s £90m every year, answering more than 165,000 calls for help.

Armed forces families are at the heart of the welfare.

The RBL helps not only those who serve but the mothers, fathers, partners and children of our serving personnel, past and present.

Volunteers are always welcome as pressure on the Legion’s services grows year on year.

Anyone over 16 years of age can help.

Just call the Legion free of charge on 0800 085 5924, or email poppypeople@britishlegion.org.uk.

We are most interested to hear from individuals, volunteer groups and organisations who might consider organising this year’s appeal in this region.

If you feel that you can help, please email slythe@britishlegion.org.uk.
