We should have a say

CHIEF executive Paul Walker would like to be treated as other Hartlepool Borough Council employee.

So who are the other council employees who received a mind blowing £10,000 pay rise?

Does he really also think four weeks’ unpaid leave at a cost of £13,000 to him will mend this situation?

Do the taxpayers realise he earns over £3,000 per week?

Are all future earnings going to forego this £13,000?

As for mob rule apparently being the order of the day, I think Paul Walker should remember that so many people are suffering job cuts.

If the council tax payers pay his wages then surely we should have some say if he get a rise?
