I refer to the feature (Mail, April 10) in which North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust announced that the University Hospital of Hartlepool had passed a recent independent inspection.
To state the obvious, I would here confirm that we always knew that our hospital, including its A&E, was always up to the highest standards.
I politely remind readers that our hospital achieved the highest possible star ratings under a previous management.
It is the current Trust which is subject to a current vote of no confidence, and not the fine clinicians and front line staff who actually provide the service.
I simply ask you, why would we be striving to save our hospital if it didn’t meet all of our standards?
