Alternatively, residents can express their concerns by emailing consultation@postoffice.co.uk or by calling the customer helpline on (08457) 223344.

It's not too late to save the three post offices in Hartlepool – and the three on the outskirts of town – from closing, and you can add your signature to the Mail's petition.

Petition forms can be found at the Mail's head office reception, with street vendors and at shops in the town.

You can also add your support at www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk or email at mail.news@northeast-press.co.uk.
