DEPARTED Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse last night welcomed by 3,000 screaming fans as he signed a four-year deal with Greek side Panathinaikos.
Cisse wanted to stay in England, but no Premier League club was willing to pay the asking price.
He scored 10 league goals for Sunderland last season on loan from Marseille, who have received £6.8million from the Greeks.
Meanwhile, reports today say Manchester City will make Everton an offer they can't refuse for Joleon Lescott.
That would pave the way for Sunderland to finally grab Richard Dunne from Eastlands.
