MARTON Fulop will not be leaving with Keane scathing in his summary of Stoke's "disgraceful" conduct in making the Hungarian what amounted to a take-it-or-leave-it first and final offer.
The Potters signed former Sunderland keeper Thomas Sorensen last night and Keane said: "Marton Fulop is staying and I'm delighted about that.
"Stoke have basically wasted the lad's time.
"They made him an offer and when Marton asked for a bit mor
e, they said 'that's it'.
"I appreciate they've had another trialist there, but they have completely wasted Marton's time and I'm not happy with them.
"It's disgraceful to treat a player like that. When you are dealing with a negotiation you have to respect people - when you go down for negotiations, you negotiate.
"But when a club tells a player, 'that's it, that's all we're going to offer', and you are not that far away anyway, it's a disgrace."
On Monday night in Cork, Keane seemed exasperated that Fulop – who has stated his desire to leave Sunderland to have a better chance of first-team football - might be making unreasonable demands.
But he added last night: "That was the impression I had but I've spoken to the lad at training (on Tuesday) and he's put me in the picture.
"Reluctantly we accepted a bid because Marton is keen to play first-team football, which I understand 100 per cent.
"I'm delighted to have him in my squad. He's an international goalkeeper.
"Hopefully if another suitable offer comes in for Marton, he will be treated properly."
