HARTLEPOOL fast bowler Danny Evans bagged the first five-wicket haul of his fledgling first-class career at Middlesex.
Former Seaton Carew player Evans turned in a career-best performance against Essex.

The 20-year-old claimed 6-35 in 14.4 overs at Chelmsford, just reward for the way he maintained a nagging line and length on a pitch which afforded encouraging bounce throughout the day.

Thanks largely to his efforts Essex were bowled out for 207, their last six wickets tumbling in the space of 27 runs – four of those fell to Evans at a personal cost of seven runs in 4.5 overs.
