GRAEME Storm today admitted his best result of the season was tinged with a touch of disappointment.
Storm finished second at the Johnnie Walker Championship, at Gleneagles, on Sunday to take home a cheque for £157,000 after his best display on the European Tour since winning the French Open last June.

It could have been even better for the 30-year-old who was the clubhouse leader until the final pairing completed their rounds.

In that duo was overnight leader Gregory Havret who managed to par the last hole despite hitting his approach shot into the bunker.

The Frenchman managed to land his bunker shot within eight feet of the hole before sinking the putt to beat Storm by just one shot.

Storm said: "I came off thinking there were still two par fives for Havret to play but he had a bit of luck that he deserved on 18 because he had been leading all week.

"I am disappointed that I have not won but at the end of the day I still had four good rounds and finished in second place.

"I did not get off to the best of starts on the third day by making a double bogey at the first but I shot five under and that gave me the self belief to put in a good performance on the Sunday."
