GRAEME Storm's good run of form came to an abrupt halt on a day to forget at the European Open.
The Hartlepool golfer was in need of something special at the London Golf Club today if he was to avoid an early exit from the Kent course.

Storm, who enjoyed some moments of success at the BMW International and French Open, shot a four under par 76 yesterday on his return to English soil.

It put him a mammoth 13 strokes behind overnight leader Ross Fisher after his course-record 63.

Ironically, Storm had started impressively when he sank his birdie putt at the par four 412-yard second.

But it was to prove a rare success as Storm found difficulty mastering the other par fours at London Golf Club.

Bogey fives at the fourth and sixth saw him reach the turn in a one-over-par 37.

It wasn't the end of the world, but bogeys at 10 and 11 saw him go to three over.

Storm rallied when he birdied the par five 12th, but that was his last red number and back-to-back bogeys on the last two holes saw him come home in 39 for a 76.

The 30-year-old will need to pull out the stops today.
