A SQUAD of Hartlepool swimmers collected medals at the Chester-le-Street Junior Meet.

The Saturday and Sunday sessions were only for under 12s and Hartlepool had 11 competitors who left with 15 medals.

Georgia Nixon had a fantastic weekend to swim PBs in nearly every event and win gold in the 200 backstroke by over four seconds.

The 11-year-old also won four silver medals in the 100, 200IM, 50 backstroke and 50 breastroke and came third overall in the 11-years BAGCAT award.

The 10-year-old's consistent performances saw her finish second in the 10-years BAGCAT award.

Lee Turner, 12, left with three medals – one of each colour. His gold came in his favourite event, the 50 breastroke while he took silver in the 100IM and the bronze in the 200IM.
