TECH are set to hold a players' meeting tonight to determine whether the struggling club will withdraw from the league.
The club have been struggling to turn out teams for their Durham and Northumberland Two fixtures this season.

Tech - full name Hartlepool TDSOB - have only managed to play one game so far this term – a 35-10 defeat against Redcar.

They were forced to cancel a game against Team Northumbria a fortnight ago because they did not have enough front row players.

Club chairman John Dove said they are considering their future so that other teams are not inconvenienced by their plight.

He said: "We are holding the meeting to see where we go from here and to see whether we should remain in the league.

"We've had a couple of the players who normally play front row for us having to leave the area because of work commitments so we really do need some new players.

"If we do decide to drop out of the league the intention is to remain playing social rugby and then re-apply to the league next season."

The club would like to hear from anyone interested in joining the club or attending training tonight at 7pm at Grayfields.

Contact John Dove on (01429) 233548 or email him on johng.dove@ntlworld.com.

Training is every Wednesdays at 7pm at Grayfields
