THE Black Cats were very unlucky against Liverpool last weekend.
Sunderland travel down to Spurs tomorrow and sponsors
Boylesports have released some specials on the Black Cats' new Spurs signings – Teemu Tainio, Steed Malbranque and Pascal Chimbonda.
More Sunderland stories >>They include 5/2 that any of them score a goal, 33/1 that any of them score an own goal and 14/1 for any to be sent off. Roy Keane's men will face a stiff task at White Hart Lane, even though Spurs lost to Middlesbrough last week.
They are a different proposition at home and have beaten the Black Cats in all of the last eight meetings there. This one looks too tough for Sunderland and I would advise punters to back a home win at 1/2 with Boylesports, as well as the 2-1 and 3-1 scorelines at 13/2 and 10/1 respectively.
For those of you who fancy a spread bet, I'd suggest buying total goals at 2.6 with Sporting Index – the last fourteen games between the two sides at White Hart Lane have had two goals or more, whilst five of the last six have had three or more.
- Pools bright start to the season ended when they travelled to Prenton Park to face Tranmere Rovers last weekend. They put up a good defensive show, but unfortunately lost 1-0. Victoria Park has been a happy hunting ground this season though and Pools have registered two solid wins.
Stockport County make the trip up tomorrow, having started the season well following their promotion from League Two. They drew at promotion hopefuls Huddersfield on the opening day and registered an excellent goal-less draw against Leicester last Saturday.
All of County's first three matches have seen two goals or fewer and although Hartlepool have scored seven goals at home in two games, this does look like it will be a tighter contest. I would advise backing the draw at 12/5 with
Boylesports, as well as the 0-0 and 1-1 scorelines at 8/1 and 6/1 respectively. Spread bettors should look to sell total goals with Sporting Index.
The racing scene has been in disarray this week with the abandonment of the Ebor meeting at York, but with a decent card at Goodwood tomorrow, all is not lost.If the ground has dried out, Paco Boy would have to be a 'lay' with Betdaq against Ravens Pass in the Group 2 Celebration Mile.
You should definitely keep an eye on the weather, but with an additional furlong, plus the drying ground, Ravens Pass could have too much class for Richard Hannon's colt.
