GIFTED boxer Bradlley Saunders is set to turn professional this week.
The 25-year-old from Sedgefield decided to join the paid ranks after seeing his hopes of winning selection to the Olympics come to an end.
His announcement came on a tumultuous night for South Durham ABC.
The Fishburn-based club, run by Bradley’s dad Jeff senior and mum Tracey, hosted an evening to remember at the Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield last night and even brought home some silverware.
With two of the club’s brightest stars fighting for area titles it really was a night to savour.
Jeff Saunders jnr, 20, took on Thabiso Simmandie of Phil Thomas School of Boxing for the Tyne, Tees and Wear title.
James Archer, 19, also faced Phil Thomas School of Boxing opposition in John Green and he too won on points.
