DAVID Dolan faces make or break time at the Stadium of Light this Sunday – but trainer Neil Fannan could not be more confident.
The Hartlepool-trained cruiserweight hopes to get his career back on track by beating Jon Lewis Dickinson to win the vacant Northern Area Championship at the Sunderland arena.
Dolan goes into the North East derby looking to respond from a painful defeat by Terry Dunstan in Houghton last December.
Not only did the former West rugby star lose the English title match, he suffered a torn pectoral muscle, an injury which many feared would threaten his career.
Fannan though believes that defeat could actually work in his boxer’s favour.
“Some people might ask ‘what has he got left?’,” Fannan told SportMail.
