Savannah Marshall has gone out of the European Games in Baku after losing to world number three Nouchka Fontijn.
The Hartlepool boxer lost on all the judges scorecards in the last 16 bout in the Azerbaijan capital.
Before today, the scoreline between the rivals stood at 1-1 in wins, Fontijn beating Marshall at the 2011 European Championship with the Headland ABC star avenging that in the 2013 EU Championship final.
But Marshall never got going today with the judges awarding every round to the 27-year-old, from the Netherlands.
It was the toughest opening draw the 24-year-old could have faced, with Fontijn the highest ranked boxer at the inaugural European Games.
Marshall must now return to Sheffield to continue the build-up at the English Institute of Sport with her GB coaches for the 2016 Olympics.
