BOXING fans are set for a treat on Sunday when they will get to watch Hartlepool’s king of the ring and the heir to his throne – on the same bill.

Those are the views of the main man himself, Michael Hunter, ahead of his return bout at the Borough Hall.

The 33-year-old is on the comeback trail after more than two years out of the ring, taking on Sid Razak at the Headland venue.

And at the other end of the boxing scale, Peter Cope is the man who would he king as he makes his fifth appearance since joining the paid ranks

Hunter told SportMail: “I can’t wait to box alongside Copey.

“It’s fantastic that the town is getting behind him and I think he can go a long, long way.

“I won the British, Commonwealth and European titles at the Borough Hall and I think Copey can go on to do the same.

“He’s my type of fighter – he has all the style and skill but he loves getting tore in.

“I’m happy for him to take the Hunter throne, but just not quite yet!

“It will be great to see him in this special place – there is no venue like it.”
