SAVANNAH Marshall must beat another world champion if she is to reach the final of the Grand Prix in the Czech Republic.
Marshall has enjoyed a magical run of form in 2011-12, winning seven of her last eight contests, including yesterday’s convincing 9-3 quarter-final triumph over Elif Guneri (Turkey) set up a crunch showdown with Russia’s Nadezda Torlopova tonight in Ústí nad Labem.
The Russian is the reigning world title holder at over 81 kilos, Torlopva.
Her two GB team-mates both have semi-final dates in the Czech Republic – Natasha Jonas also has Russian opposition at U51 kilo in Sofia Ochigava while Nicola Adams will face Greece’s Athena Malefaki at U60 kilos.
