SAVANNAH Marshall is guaranteed a medal at the World Championships after another sensational win took her into the World Championship semi-final.

The Hartlepool fighter took home favourite Jinzi Li apart, winning 20-8 in the highlight of the middleweight quarter-final programme in China.

Marshall must now beat Russia’s Nadezda Torlopova in the semi-final on Friday in Qinhuangdao to win her a spot at the London Olympics.

The 20-year-old continued where she left off in her brilliant victories over tournament favourite Claressa Shields and Norway’s Lotte Lien.

Marshall dominated from the off against the Chinese superstar, who had won gold in 2008 and silver in 2010.

The Headland ABC star led 3-2 after round one before going into overdrive.

Marshall took round two 6-3 and then hammered the world number three by five points to one in the third session to go 14-6 up.

Savannah made sure there was no way back for the 22-year-old Chinese fighter by winning the last round with a flourish 6-2 for a landslide 20-8 triumph.
