Charity shop's cash for boxers
THESE boxers were knocked out by the generosity of local fundraisers. Volunteers from the Trimdon Treasures charity shop have donated £300 to the newly-formed Tootill Amateur Boxing Club (ABC).
The group, for young people aged 10 and over as well as adults, has been formed by father-and-son team Alan and Brian Robinson.
Alan, who is from Trimdon but has boxed and coached with Hartlepool Boys Welfare, said the group had tried to set up in Trimdon but had no luck getting funding.
The club now runs from the Welfare Hall, in Thornley, after bosses there were able to help them out.

Alan said: "We have been offered a much larger premises in Trimdon Colliery and are hoping to move in within the next two or three months.
"A lot of people talk about anti-social behaviour, but don't do anything to help the kids. That's why we set the club up."
The non-profit club was named after David Tootill, 29, from Jasmine Crescent, in Trimdon, who was tragically killed in a road smash on the C26 Harap Road near the village in November 2008.
Mr Tootill, a Royal Marine, had grown up with 35-year-old Brian and Alan, 64, helped to train him as a youngster.
The Mail reported previously that the Trimdon Treasures shop, set up to raise funds to plough money back into the Trimdons, was forced to close due to a lack of volunteers.
But after a three-month break during the winter months the shop, which is based in Front Street, Trimdon Station and sells second-hand goods, re-opened after more volunteers came forward.
Victoria Tiffin, who helped to set up Trimdon Treasures, said: "The boxing club wrote me a letter informing me of their plight.
"Alan and Brian are working really hard to raise funds for equipment and to hire premises."
