DURHAM seamer Liam Plunkett has signed a two-year contract with his home club, extending his stay until at least the end of 2013.
Head Coach Geoff Cook said: “I’m delighted that Liam has accepted an extension to his present contract. 2011 has been a frustrating season for him through injury and loss of form but I am sure that he is determined to work hard to recapture his past performance levels.”
Plunkett said: “I’m really happy to be staying at Durham and excited about my future.
“I’m committed to work through the winter to make sure I go into next season in the best possible form so I can secure myself a regular first-team place.
“The Durham team is a great one to be part of and I want to be contributing match winning performances that continue to bring the club long-term success.”
