ENGLAND ace Graham Onions and fellow bowler Ruel Brathwaite have signed new deals with Durham County Cricket Club.

The duo have extended their current contracts until 2015 and 2013 respectively.

Onions is delighted to have put pen to paper on a new deal, having overcome a serious injury which saw him miss the 2010 season.

The seamer suffered a career-threatening stress fracture, but battled his way back to fitness this season, taking 50 first-class wickets in the process, to be named the county’s bowler of the year.

“After missing the 2010 season due to injury, I am delighted with the way this season has gone.” he said.

“I have had an amazing amount of support from my team-mates and the backroom staff at Durham.

“I am really pleased to sign a new contract with the club I love, and look forward to winning trophies in the years to come.”
