PAUL COLLINGWOOD could miss Durham’s two home T20 clashes this weekend through injury.

The former England star – dropped yesterday from the international one-day and T20 squads – did not field on the final day of Durham’s County Championship draw with Yorkshire.

The 35-year-old all-rounder, who scored a century against the Tykes this week, suffered a groin injury and sat out the final day.

And if he needs to rest the injury, Collingwood could miss the T20 games at home to Lancashire on Friday evening and Leicestershire on Sunday.

A defiant century by Yorkshire skipper Andrew Gale carried his side to safety yesterday in the rain-shortened match at Chester-le-Street.

Gale was unbeaten on 101 at the close of play with Yorkshire 57 ahead on 280 for four.

But they took only two bonus points from the match, compared with Durham’s maximum of eight.
