KEITH Nobbs will always be a hero to Hartlepool United fans.
A no-nonsense defender, Nobbs won promotion with Pools in 1991 and was always a favourite with the Victoria Ground faithful.
For all Keith’s defensive qualities, his fame never really strayed beyond this area and he still remains well known locally for his work as Pools’ Community Sports Foundation officer.
But the Nobbs name is going places nationally – all thanks to his daughter.
Jordan Nobbs has done her dad proud after winning the Women’s FA Cup with Arsenal.
The Gunners ran out 2-0 winners over Bristol at the Ricoh Arena and dad Keith was suitably delighted for his daughter.
He told SportMail: “It was fantastic seeing Jordan lift the cup.
“It was a proud moment for me to see her winning the trophy at such a young age because she is so committed.
“She is happy to be a part of a winning team and hopefully it will carry on for years to come.”
The exciting 19-year-old prospect, who plays in the centre of midfield, joined the Super League outfit from Sunderland Women and has already made a big impact.
