AUGSBURG have confirmed their interest in Ji Dong-won, but the German outfit claim they are yet to make a loan bid for the Sunderland striker.
Although Augsburg insist they haven’t made a formal offer to take Ji on loan, general manager Jurgen Rollman admits the South Korean is on their radar and have held talks with the 21-year-old.
Rollman said: “This (Ji) is an interesting player for us. We have also been in touch with him.
“But we haven’t yet put up an offer for him.”
Meanwhile, Sunderland have been linked with an interest in Carlisle’s teenage trio Brad Potts, Dave Symington and Mark Beck.
Sunderland had a scout at Carlisle’s Brunton Park last week for the clash against Doncaster to watch the trio. 18-year-old’s reported to be the subject of the Black Cats’ interest.
Winger Symington, midfielder Potts and striker Beck have all forced their way into the first-team picture with the Cumbrians this season.
