Hartlepool United have sold their 3,000th season ticket ahead of the new season - with the deadline for discounted prices approaching.
The club broke through the landmark figure on Thursday afternoon ahead of the Early Bird deadline, which is set to pass at 4pm on Friday.
Luke Pilcher, 26, came along to the ticket office to pick up season tickets for himself and his dad Geoff and was surprised to find that his purchase took the total past the 3,000 barrier.
A joiner from Bishop Cuthbert, Luke was determined to make up for lost time by getting a season pass for the new campaign after missing much of the last five years due to travelling and living in Australia.
He said: “I got home about halfway through last season so I guess I saw the best bit!
“It was quality the way things were turned around when Ronnie Moore came in and that last day at Carlisle in fancy dress was fantastic.
“I don’t really know what to expect for the coming season with ten new signings coming in but anyone can beat anyone in this league so I am cautiously optimistic about our chances!”
Fans have until 4pm on Friday to take advantage of the discounted prices, after which prices of season tickets for 2015-16 will rise.
