COLIN Cooper says he loves nothing more than sending Hartlepool United fans home happy.

Cooper enjoyed the performance from his side in the 2-0 win over Shrewsbury, their second of the season and first on home soil.

He is keen to put a team on the pitch that supporters want to come and see and they certainly did that at the weekend.

Repeating that level of performance is the key, starting with Tranmere Rovers at home this Saturday.

Cooper added: “I don’t get too up and too down, but I want people to come and support us.

“I want a team out there who people will enjoy watching.

“People enjoyed that one.

“That was a good performance, and you have to give the players credit.

“It’s hard to go out there and play and they showed energy, quality and bravery and there can’t be many fans disappointed but let’s do it again next time.”
