COLIN Nish will make his return from injury for Hartlepool United’s reserves tomorrow night, writes CRAIG HOPE.

Micky Barron’s second-string travel to Gateshead’s International Stadium for their rearranged Central League fixture (kick-off 7pm).

Nish, out since November following knee surgery, has been back in full training since the beginning of the month.

However, boss Neale Cooper wants to see the Scot come through some match action unscathed before he pitches him back into the first-team squad.

“We tried to get a reserve game last Monday and Wednesday, but because of the weather we couldn’t get the game on,” Cooper explained to SportMail.

“One or two of them need some game time, so it’s good to have this tomorrow.

“Nish needs one or two games before he comes back in, but he’s training well and he’s another one I’m looking forward to seeing.

“He’s been out a wee while, so we’ll take our time and ease him in.”
