DAN Jones has become the latest young prospect to sign his new deal at Hartlepool United.
The 19-year-old defender has suffered an injury-plagued two seasons but has performed well in the reserve team to earn himself a new contract.
Jones made his League Two debut this season when he came on as a sub during the home defeat by Mansfield Town in March.
The teenager, from Bishop Auckland, signed his first professional contract at the Vic last summer and boss Colin Cooper has been impressed enough to offer him another.
“I’m delighted with the new deal,” Jones told Pools Player.
“I wasn’t sure if I was going to get a contract but now I have I can go out there and really enjoy my football and show what I can do.”
