Salford City say Gary Neville will be there.

Hartlepool United manager Ronnie Moore is not sure the new Valencia boss will be back for the FA Cup tie but he believes Neville’s appointment at the La Liga club is a good move all round.

I am not sure Gary Neville will be there, I think he has more important things to sort out

“It’s a great opportunity for Gary, there’s no doubt about that,” said Moore.

“He’s been doing a fantastic job on Sky Sports and he’s part of the England set-up too.

“I’m sure he can be a big success.”

Gary Neville is one of the Salford City co-owners, along with brother Phil, and their friends and Man United team-mates, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

Moore says that the so-called ‘class of 92’ and everyone at the Evo Stik Northern Premier club can be proud of what they’ve achieved so far.

But the Pools chief added that those legends will be on the outside of the Moor Lane pitch not inside it!

“It’s fantastic what they’ve done,” said Moore.

“I watched the programme about them, it was brilliant.

“I am not sure Gary Neville will be there, I think he has more important things to sort out.

“But it doesn’t matter, who’s there.

“The class of 92 won’t be playing!

“Those players might be there but they can’t influence the game.

“There should be no fear factor around the place, with the Nevilles and the Man United connection.

“We are playing Salford City. Yes show them respect but go and show them what a good side we can be.”
