HARTLEPOOL United have never had a more successful manager or, arguably, a more popular one.

And Neale Cooper says he is looking forward to making a sentimental return to town this week for a special event on Friday night.

The fiery Scot is the star of “An Evening With Neale Cooper” at the Belle Vue Sports and Social Club.

Cooper will be speaking at the Kendal Road venue at a talk-in, hosted by Paul “Goffy” Gough of Goffy Media.

“I can’t wait,” said 47-year-old Cooper.

“I came down to the Tranmere game on Good Friday and thoroughly enjoyed being back.

“It was great to be in Victoria Park again and I bumped into a lot of old faces.

“I loved every minute of my time at Hartlepool. They were two great years and I’m looking forward to reliving those times this week.”
