Ronnie Moore says he has drawn a blank in the loan window - so far.

The Hartlepool United boss has not given up hope of having a new signing - or two - in time for Saturday’s League Two clash with in-form Luton Town.

One or two haven’t shown their true colours, but how long do you wait?

Moore had already been looking for a new midfielder, but Tuesday night’s 3-0 home humbling by Bristol Rovers has only served to sharpen his search.

“The squad is better than last season’s,” said Moore.

“But one or two of them at the moment are not performing to their capabilities.

“One or two haven’t shown their true colours, but how long do you wait?

“I’ve tried again all day yesterday to get players in, made phone calls everywhere.

“We are after a winger with pace who can give us something going forward and a midfielder with box to box energy.

“If I can get that and play to our potential and we have a good squad of players.”

Striker Rakish Bingham trained with the squad at Maiden Castle today after recovering from a hamstring problem, while Michael Woods will return following a one-match ban.
