Hartlepool United are offering subsidised travel for fans travelling to the Fleetwood Capital One Cup match.
The first round match takes place at Fleetwood on Tuesday, August 11 - and Hartlepool chairman Gary Coxall says the club is keen to give something back to fans.
The club is arranging cheap coach travel to Highbury as a thank you to supporters, who can pay just £5 for their transport to the cup tie against The Cod Army.
Tickets for the game are now on sale from the club’s ticket office, in Clarence Road, where fans can also put their name down for transport at the same time – with £5 payable in full at the time of booking.
The club are set to cover a record-breaking amount of miles to complete their away journeys during 2015-16 and Chairman Gary Coxall explained that the owners wanted to do something to help.
Coxall said: “As part of the initial promise to fans, one of the factors Russ, Peter and I looked at straight away is the cost of travel in addition to how much travelling is expected this season.
“We wanted to try and do everything we could to help fans get to and from an away game safely as well as obviously making it affordable to as many as possible.
“Hopefully this will also go some way to show our hosts what great, vocal fans we are on the road and it can help cheer the team on to a positive result.
“I would like to thank the Supporters’ Association who are fantastic in organising coach travel for the majority of our away games and have given us great assistance in putting this offer together.”
