HARTLEPOOL United teenagers Connor Smith and Kieran Green have been offered professional deals at the Sky Bet League Two side.

The current second-year youth team scholars have both played their part for the first team this season and have been rewarded by club bosses as a result.

Smith, 18, can play wide right or in the striker’s role while Green is a central midfielder.

Pacy Smith made his first start for the club in the match at Bury last month and has been a regular in the first team squad since then.

Meanwhile, Green made his debut for the first team in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie with Sheffield United in October at The Vic.

Assistant manager Sam Collins is a big fan and Green has now been rewarded for his progression this season.

Fellow youth team players Callam Wood, Johnny Barber, Dylan Armstrong and Jonny Carr have though all been released by Pools.
