MICK Wadsworth admits he has a degree of sympathy for Nathan Luscombe after the midfielder was again an unused substitute at the weekend, writes CRAIG HOPE.

That’s three games on the spin now that the 21-year-old has failed to make it off the bench.

Luscombe scored his first professional goal when coming on during the closing stages of last month’s home game with Exeter City, his cool effort crowning a 2-0 victory.

He was again a second-half introduction during the 2-1 win at Carlisle United seven days later, but the former Sunderland trainee hasn’t featured since.

And Wadsworth told SportMail: “I must say I feel a little sorry for Nathan because he’s been great for us.”
