MICKY Barron has spent countless hours telling Neale Cooper that none of Hartlepool United’s transfer targets are as good as James Poole.

Now the Pools boss is set to see what all the fuss has been about.

The Scot was at North Ferriby in Yorkshire’s East Riding last night to witness the striker make his comeback following two months out with a lingering hamstring problem.

“It’s been hard for Neale because he’s never seen him play yet he’s heard so much about him,” said the former Pools captain who now doubles as reserve-team boss and first-team coach.

“It’s been frustrating for everyone really, not least James himself, so to see him come back last night with no problems is fantastic news.”
