NEALE Cooper is hopeful he will have James Poole available for the first time this weekend – but he’ll be without skipper Sam Collins.

Pools entertain Rochdale on Saturday as they bid to end a run of nine straight home defeats.

Cooper is yet to see top goalscorer Poole in action with the 21-year-old having tweaked his hamstring on the eve of last weekend’s defeat at Sheffield United.

Cooper said: “I’m not too sure about James just yet but I hope he’s OK because I’ve heard a lot of good things about him.”
