Ronnie Moore has added Burnley defender Luke Hendrie to his Hartlepool United squad on a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old right-back replaces Brad Halliday in the Pools squad, Halliday having returned to Championship side Middlesbrough after a four-week spell at The Vic.
Michael Duckworth (hamstring) and Jordan Richards (back) are not yet ready for a first team return so Moore has moved quickly to provide cover.
Hendrie joins from the Championship side and is expected to go straight into the Pools team for the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge this weekend.
Hendrie, who is the son of former Middlesbrough striker John, joined The Clarets from Derby County in the summer.
Moore has seen the versatile 21-year-old several times in action in the Development League and knows he can operate comfortably at right back or can offer an option in midfield.
Hendrie has been handed squad number 27 and, subject to Football League clearance, he will be available for selection for Saturday’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
