Carl Magnay will make his return for Hartlepool United tomorrow when he lines up for the reserves in their league match at Doncaster Rovers.
Magnay has completed a six-match FA ban after spitting following his red card in the 2-1 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers in September.
To say the 26-year-old has been badly missed by Pools would be an understatement.
Magnay had been a revelation in midfield but in his eight-match absence, Pools have taken only eight points from a possible 24.
He may be a little ring-rusty, to use boxing parlance, but a trip to Rovers tomorrow will be just what he needs.
Magnay will be joined in the side by a number of first-tem squad men, notably Adam Bartlett, Dan Jones, Brad Walker and Conor Smith, neither of whom left the bench in Saturday’s 1-0 FA Cup win over Cheltenham.
With the exception of Bartlett, it is an opportunity for the others to stake a claim for a place in Sunday’s televised League Two clash with Leytopn Orient.
