Only a small number of tickets remain for Hartlepool United’s end-of-season awards ceremony tomorrow night.

Pools will be handing out the Player of the Year and Michael Maidens Goal of the Season prizes in the function at the town’s Grand Hotel.

The final remaining tickets are on sale from the main reception at Victoria Park, priced at £10, which includes pie and peas.

Boss Craig Hignett and his entire Pools squad will be in attendance, along with chairman, Gary Coxall.

Keeper Trevor Carson, defenders Adam Jackson and Matthew Bates, midfielder Nicky Featherstone and striker Billy Paynter are likely to be the principal candidates for the main award.

Lewis Hawkins is the favourite for the Michael Maidens Goal of the Season award for his strike at Barnet though Paynter, Nathan Thomas and Jake Gray may have something to say about that.
