The 21-year-old was switched from midfield to the heart of the defence at Luton Town in md-week when Matthew Bates limped off with a hamstring strain.

With Liam Donnelly still not recovered from an ankle injury sustained at Mansfield, boss Dave Jones had no hesitation in pairing Walker with Scott Harrison.

Lewis Alessandra came into the starting XI to face his former club.

There was one further change, with top scorer Padraig Amond coming in for Andrew Nelson who was named on the bench.
