ADAM Boyd could be set for a recall to the Hartlepool United starting line-up at Walsall on Saturday.

Pools will be without James Poole (thigh) and Luke James (back) for the trip to the West Midlands.

Neale Cooper has used Boyd from the bench in the last five matches and he made a scoring impact during last week’s 2-1 win at Bury.

That came just a fortnight after Pools had alerted clubs to the 29-year-old’s availability for a loan move, but now he has worked himself back into the first-team picture.

“Adam has got himself back involved,” Cooper told SportMail. “He’s a good boy, Adam.”
