PETER Hartley has completed his move to League One Stevenage for an undisclosed five-figure sum.
The 25-year-old defender was absent from the Pools squad which travelled to Nottingham Forest for last night’s Capital One Cup tie.
And confirmation arrived today that Hartley has parted ways with Pools after four years at Victoria Park.
Player of the Year in 2011/12, the Pools-born star was appointed captain of the club last season.
He was this season replaced as skipper by Antony Sweeney but had started the campaign in the side during last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Rochdale.
