SAM Collins returns to the club where he made his name tonight – but the skipper admits he will suffer no lost sleep should Hartlepool United put a dent in Huddersfield Town’s promotion ambitions.

Collins made his professional bow with the Yorkshire club back in 1997 and knows the pressure is on new boss Simon Grayson to mastermind elevation to the Championship, but the Pools defender believes his side can upset the odds.

“There’s a bit of expectancy there now,” the 34-year-old told SportMail today as he reflected on the situation at his former club, where Lee Clark was sacked last month despite the team being fourth in League One.

“I was very surprised when the manager went.”
